Stress Levels...keep focused...keep the list

Hey,
Today is xxx.x. Just a little reduction. Going to work all day in the yard so should be a good reduction today. Got to go now. Mom has doc apt at 9:30.

Back fm doc. Mom off Lipitor (was causing confusion more) and will get on an appetite suppressant. Let's talk earlier. How about 8:30 my time ?

That's great, but I can tell you are not using your 'list' if you forget to 'chat with s' until 12:30 your time.
The List is to help you keep FOCUSSSSSS!!

But, again, GREATTTTT GOINGGGGGG !!!!! I know how difficult this is.
But I think talking with me each day will make it easier.
How do you like the idea of a Salad Bar Party?

You're right xxx.x. This is amazing to me. I'm doing the exact same things as earlier, but the last few days I'm losing .5 lb each day. My attitude toward Mom is better, her attitude toward me is better...maybe my stress level is lower???

Ok, situps and leg lifts from the bed for 15 min. I still can't put any weight on the knee while it is bent. I'll go back to bed right now and do 15 min of exercise. Anything to keep this cycle of .5 lb a day going.

Air boat ride was fun. It's the only boat I can go on now with my back...gliding over the swamp is much easier than beating into the wind and waves.
Ok, let's get back to our full reporting schedule at 8:30 your time.

how long exercise...what kind?
what was for dinner...what is for dinner?
Stress w mom or not...how much?
Did you cheat?
Did you do anything fun?
This way, I can keep track for you, so when I send the overall monthly analysis report, we know what caused what... where you did great and maybe where you lost focus.
I'd like to say it will get easier, but I happen to know from experience it won't. Focussing on the positive and chatting with me will make it better though. When do you think you'll reach xxx?

xxx.x this am.

No bm yesterday and not much exercise. Just situps & leg lifts. rained all day. Went to PA to hear barbershop quartet. For some reason I was stressed out at Mom. Tried to discover the reason when I realized I was in my mad mode again but couldn't remember one specific thing. She was in her push the buttons mode.

Thought I was doing so good in the stress area too. Yes, I've been singing the song. and yes it does help.

Didn't eat much yesterday either so metabolism was slower maybe. Had breakfast (oatmeal at restaurant) around 11, then munched on carrots at about 4:30 on the way back from PA, then dinner at 7:30. Had your vegie soup w/toasted cheese sandwich. I've found a soy cheese with 2 g fat per slice. Pretty good too.

Will probably have the Christmas Bird tonight. It's been thawed for 2 days.

You ARE doing good. Don't let a set back knock you off your positive attitude.
Just keep singing and s.... If you are taking the detox stuff and prunes you should be s.... your guts out..
Sometimes changing your whole diet for a day or 2, can do well to wake up your metabolism. Next time you are in PA get a bag of ruby red grapefruit. Then, EVERY time you eat ANYTHING(including carrots or celery), eat a quarter of a grapefruit. And try to eat every 2 1/2 hr. Try not to eat any pasta, bread or starchy type carbs those 2 days too.

Congrats on the leg lifts and sit ups. Thanks for keeping your promise.

Just had a big bm. Tomorrow should be down again. I am eating the prunes & detox. However, what do you mean by the serenity stuff? I have "acai burn" and "acai detox" but nothing labeled serenity.

I have a bunch of exercise plans in my files. I'm going to look at them and figure out more that I can do on the bed or standing or sitting. I can do some wall pushups, situps, leg lifts, weights for upper body. I'm going to start walking 1 mile a day on Monday with my friend. See how I do. Should be OK because I've cut the back yard and that's should equal about a mile.

Serenity is the little lavender labeled bottle that I put inside the box with the veggie slicer. It helps you relax and deal with mom.
It's all natural and it acts like the oil in "water off a ducks' back" in agrivating situations...which mom is probably the worst agrivating situation you'll ever come up on.
